HOW IT WORKS


Our project is officially called The COMFORTKATRINA GC Drive.

We accept Gift Card donations throughout the year. Anyone can buy a
GC and mail it to us anytime. We will send Gift Cards to registered
Survivors as we receive GC donations.

It's simple for Kind People to give comfort and for Survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to get comfort.

KIND PEOPLE

A Kind person can easily give comfort to a Survivor by purchasing a Gift Card (GC) and mailing it to us at:

Please be sure to let us know the dollar amount on the Gift Card.



For some Gift Card (GC) ideas, go to SHOP and purchase one on-line or find a retail location nearest you.

Your kind and generous donations will lift spirits and give comfort to people trying to rebuild their lives.

As a donor, you may choose to remain anonymous, or you may REGISTER as a Kind Person and friend of COMFORTKATRINA.

SURVIVORS

If you lived in one of the hurricane affected areas, please REGISTER with us on-line to receive a Gift Card. We promise to send a GC to Survivors that give complete and accurate information and as we receive GC donations from people.  (You must be at least 18 years of age to register.)

We will send you a GC even if you have received assistance from FEMA, the Red Cross or any other organization. We will be verifying information to make suer Survivors who register are legitimate. We hope you will find some comfort in the item you decide to purchase.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND, we can only send a Gift Card as we receive them from the Kind P eople willing to mail one to us. This may take some time! Please be patient and know that if you have not received a GC from COMFORTKATRINA, it is because we do not have one to send to you, yet. Also, we may not always know the dollar amount on the GC and we may not always be able to send a GC to your preferred retail store. But, we promise, we will do our best to send you comfort and make you happy! Thank you for your patience and understanding.

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers can help by joining our street team. Volunteers can organize public GC Drives held in areas where Kind People might be found. Volunteers can also set up kits in local retail and grocery stores, schools, and workplaces.

This is a nice opportunity for students, various organizations and businesses to interact with their community and get involved! Students can participate as a Volunteer Coordinator, managing COMFORTKATRINA operations in your area.
